Do we still need men?
From a purely biological standpoint, the answer is no. Likewise when it comes to physical strength-wealth today depends on brains, not brawn. And when it comes to parenting, the images of men and fathers are on shaky ground as well. But what will become of all the notions of daring and heroism, of the grandiose air of omnipotence so common in earlier images of men? What role models do young men have today? How can a man today be a man; how can a father be a father?
Two fathers embark on a quest to find today's images of men. And their pursuit takes place in a landscape that is said to be decidedly masculine: the Alps.
